The Health Hub is being developed in partnership with the NHS Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care Board and East Hampshire District Council and will accommodate services provided at Chase Community Hospital as well as space to house the relocation of the Forest GP Surgery and Chase Pharmacy.

The public planning consultation will include two exhibitions explaining the scheme, with the project team and representatives of the organisations above on hand to provide information and answer questions, as well as a website where the information will be available online from 18 May: www.princephilippark.co.uk/planning/.

The public are invited to exhibitions being held at:

The Shed, Sergeants Yard, Bordon GU35 0DJ
Dates: Thursday 18 May from 6 to 9pm, Friday 19 May from 3 to 6pm, Saturday 20 May from 12 to 4pm

The Forest Community Centre, Pinehill Road, Bordon GU35 0BS
Dates: Thursday 25 May from 6 to 9pm, Friday 26 May from 3 to 6pm, Saturday 27 May from 12 to 4pm

Local people will have the opportunity to give their views and provide feedback at the exhibitions or in an online survey.

In tandem a patient engagement programme, led by the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care Board (ICB) with service providers Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust and Forest Surgery, will also be underway .

Existing patients of both Chase Community Hospital and Forest Surgery will be invited to find out more about the planned move of services and give their views. A short online survey will be open from 8 May until 2 June 2023 for registered patients at Forest Surgery, notification of which will be sent directly from the practice.

It is anticipated the new Health Hub will be completed in 2025, with services moving in towards the end of that year. Service users and practice patients will be informed of progress and further health service engagement will be undertaken as the building takes shape. The Chase Community Hospital and the GP surgery will remain open until all services are transferred.

James Child, Project Lead at The Whitehill & Bordon Regeneration Company, says: “The new Community Health Hub is an intrinsic part of the new inclusive town centre and we are pleased to invite local people along to the public exhibitions to share our plans and to hear their views. The information and feedback forms are also available online for anyone that can’t make it, so hopefully everyone can get involved.”

Sara Tiller, Hampshire Place Director at the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care Board, said: “I’m so pleased that we’re able to begin engagement with our communities on the proposed new health hub which is at the heart of this new development. These next weeks will give patients and residents the opportunity to formally feedback on the planned relocation of our health services in the area.”
