The Integrated Care Partnership Assembly is a fundamental part of the Integrated Care System, it is a mechanism to bring people and partners together to ensure that the strategy and the delivery remains focused on the core needs of our population. It is about taking engagement to a new level and ensuring all people and partners are involved in all stages of decision making. It is a place to build relationships, problem solve in partnership and hold the system to account on the work being done to reduce health inequalities and improve health and social care outcomes for our communities in Hampshire and Isle of Wight.

Developing the assembly

In September 2022, we held our first system wide event which brought together partners and people from across different sectors. Although not an assembly in name, the event started to think through the principles of working across the Integrated Care System and the ways in which we would prioritise the many things which can be achieved together in partnership. There were stands throughout the room full of insight and evidence for each emerging priority which attendees could interrogate.

During the workshop, attendees reviewed the data and evidence under each theme and created a longlist of ideas for our joint work as a partnership on our five priority areas: children and young people, mental wellbeing, good health and proactive care, our people (workforce) and digital solutions, data and insights.

Going forward, the assembly will continue to be a forum to facilitate joint working and co-production between all partners across the Integrated Care System, to deliver the five priorities of the integrated care strategy and beyond.

Integrated Care Partnership Assembly

The Integrated Care Partnership Assembly will usually meet three times a year. It is an open forum and it will often be focused on a particular priority or topic we encourage all partners and people to attend.

At the assembly in February 2024 a few of the delegates gave their take on the subject of social connectedness and the important role of partnership working in this area.
